The weather of late has felt more like November than June. Overcast skies, occasional rain, and unpleasantly cool temperatures with strong westerly winds make for less-than-pleasant conditions on the run. Nevertheless, a few anglers are still having some success in pursuit of smallmouth with one of 20 inches being brought to hand today. Water from the dam remains at 200cfs and the current level at the Pineville gauge is 324cfs. Somewhat warmer temperatures and more sunshine are in the forecast for tomorrow and that will make things much more enjoyable on the run.
