Only a few anglers joined on what turned out to be a truly beautiful day. Early morning fog gave way to plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures into the mid-60's. Anglers reported getting into some smallmouth bass , but having to cover considerable time and water in to bring them to hand. No reports of any Steelhead being hooked today. Water temperature early this morning was 54 degrees rising to 58 by mid day. The water will be dropping to 500cfs at 9:00PM this evening and that should help the fishing tomorrow. The current flow at Pineville is 898cfs, but that, too, will be dropping.
