Contrary to forecasts, the rain held off this morning, with some off and on showers as we got into the afternoon. Overall, another warm day approaching near 70 F even with the lack of sunshine. Water temperatures began at a reported 50 F and reached about 54 F by mid day. Most of our anglers joined us first thing this morning and fished into the early afternoon ahead some heavy stints of rain. Again, the lack of sunshine seemed to put a damper on the smallmouth activity. While the number of bass reported was lower again today, it seemed to give way to quite a few hungry steelhead. Most angling efforts were concentrated in the middle and lower sections, with the middle reporting the most productivity. The current dam release is scheduled to remain at 500 CFS until 11:59 PM tomorrow (4/29). Please monitor safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for updated dam release scheduling.
