Temperatures took quite the dive last night, starting the day out at about 25 F with a thick layer of frost. Fortunately, temperatures quickly rose and more than doubled, reaching about 59 F by this afternoon. Overall, conditions were comfortable, but the lack of overcast seemed to be today's hurdle. Most of our anglers joined us first thing this morning despite the rather frigid temperatures, taking advantage of the fishing before the mid day sun. Based on the reports that we received, most were successful in landing quite a few smallmouth bass, with just only a couple of reports of steelhead today. Most angling efforts were concentrated in the middle and lower sections of the run, with the middle section reporting the most productivity. At this time, the dam release is currently scheduled to remain at 500 CFS until 11:59 PM tomorrow (4/27). Please monitor safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for updated dam release scheduling.
