A rather unpleasant start to the day with overcast skies and a cold wind coming off the lake but things improved as the day progressed ending up with reasonable temperatures, dying wind and not a cloud in the sky. Throughout the day we received excellent reports of fishing from the anglers with all that I spoke with getting into at least (most did more) and large smallmouth in good numbers were in the mix. The kind of day that we all hope for when we come fishing. Water temperatures were in the mid-40's to start the day and ended near 50 at the end. Perfect for drop back's and smallmouth alike. The current flow from the dam is 750cfs until 9:00PM tonight at which point it will go to 900cfs. The flow at Pineville is 905cfs (but it, too, will be on the rise)
