Odds certainly weren't in the angler's favor, with some pretty tough weather conditions today. The winds were the biggest hurdle, holding around 20 MPH with gusts reaching 40 MPH. Along with the high winds, a steady rain added to the chill, with temperatures in the 40's but a real feel of about 32 F. Despite these less than desirable conditions, quite a few anglers joined us over the course of the day. Most making rather short outings given the conditions, but quite a few anglers were successful, reporting activity on par with this past week, with mostly drop-back steelhead with a couple of fresh steelhead reported in the mix. The middle section reported the most success and attention, offering a bit of shelter from the winds. The dam release is currently scheduled to remain at 295 CFS until 11:59 PM tomorrow (4/14). Please monitor safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for updated dam release scheduling.
