A calm start to the day with plenty of overcast, quickly turned into high winds with few clouds and quite a bit of sun but only about 40 F. Most of our anglers joined us mid morning, just in time for the wind. With winds hanging between 10-15 MPH and gusts up to 30 MPH things were certainly tricky today. Based on reports from our anglers, it was a bit of grind between the elements and following up a fairly heavily pressured weekend, but seemed to be on par again with the activity we've seen the last few days. Efforts were pretty wide spread throughout the property, with some attempts made in the lower sections of the property but ultimately proving to be unproductive for most contending with winds. With the water back down to a reasonably wadable flow, some anglers ventured to the upper sections of the property and were able to find a few fish and seek some refuge from the high winds. But once again, the middle section prevailed, and seemed to be the most productive for anglers today. The dam release is currently scheduled to remain at 500 CFS until 11:59 PM tomorrow (3/18).
