CFS at the dam dropped from 1200 to 1000 as of 7 AM - the current forecast is only to midnight tonight - CFS at the Pineville gauge 1390 (has been slowly dropping all day) - water temperature 40 degrees - air temperatures started at 42 degrees, climbed to our high of 64 degrees, now starting to drop - hazy blue skies and sunny most of the day - winds were generally light. Despite idyllic weather, most of our guests fished without any success, excepting a couple who fished until dusk, who reported one to two Steelhead each - there was one notable exception: John, guided by DSR Guide John Kopy, of Little John's Fishing Guide Service, floated the property in a drift boat and achieved 11 Steelhead, all drop-backs, some with heft to them, back-trolling with lures and using pink and blue egg sacks - John also scored an 8# Walleye and several Northern Pike - quite a day! Tonight's forecast: "Partly cloudy skies. Low 36F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph." Tomorrow's forecast: "A mix of clouds and sun early, then becoming cloudy later in the day. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 57F. Winds light and variable.".
