It's nice to see a glimpse of some blue skies after all that snow! While temperatures are still below freezing, we made it out of the teens today for the first time in a few days now. Just a few anglers eagerly took to the run today, but contended with significant slush this morning until things crawled out of the teens with a little encouragement from the sun. With the combination of low temperatures, snow, and lack of activity, we've started to develop our first substantial shelf ice of the season down on the run. It also appears that the estuary has frozen over, over the past week, and has likely begun to freeze over some of the lower most sections of the property.
