We opened for fishing at 9 AM - CFS at the dam 300, at the Pineville gauge 576 - overnight, we had only a dusting of grapple fall - at opening, air temperature was at 30 degrees, it was calm, and it was not snowing - a few guests joined us, shortly after opening - as the morning progressed, temperatures dipped a few degrees and we started having bands of ultrafine snow fall - then the winds picked up periodically, with strong intermittent gusts that caused near whiteout conditions during the gusts - our guests had left by shortly after noon, with remarks that they had "got a couple", "fish are there", "just had to fish in between gusts" - tomorrow's forecast is: "Mostly cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy in the afternoon. High 23F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph."
