Things cooled down quite quickly, with temperatures dropping into the 40's last night and only reaching a high around 45 F today. Paired with steady rain, it made for quite a bitter day. Given the conditions, today was the lightest crowd we've seen in some time. Those that joined us indicated a fairly a tough pick, most covering significant ground and reporting several steelhead landed, but you really had to grin and bear it. I think it's safe to say, it's officially steelhead season. The current dam release is scheduled to remain at 335 CFS until midnight tomorrow (10/31). Temperatures are forecasted to continue to drop, with a low of 34 F at the time of sunrise tomorrow.
