The morning broke with a heavy overcast and a small front having just pushed through. The rest of the day has a small chance of precipitation but nothing that should trouble anglers too badly. Unfortunately, leaves are plaguing anglers this morning and likely affecting the bite too. The upper and middle sections of the run both reported light angling pressure with only a few sparse hookups on steelhead. The lower end of the run has more angling pressure but a few more steelhead being caught there as well. Overall though, all anglers are working for their bites. PM fishing report: for most of the afternoon, there were blue skies and brilliant sunshine, however the wind picked up, occasionally gusting fairly hard - windblown leaves saturating the river system continued to be an obstacle for our guests, with only a few of these reporting any action on the run - "slow" would be the overall description of this afternoon We do have some upcoming lodge availability for early November, visit https://douglastonsalmonrun.com/lodging/ or call us at 315-298-6672 ext. 0 to reserve.
