9 AM River Patrol fishing report - CFS at the dam 335, CFS at the Pineville gauge 482, air temperature at opening time was 48 degrees, water temperature 51 degrees, hazy blue skies with brilliant sunshine, very light breezes - just a nice day to be outside - estuary section, as well as just upriver, reported Steelhead holding tight, providing "slow" action (hooking up infrequently) for our guests - the report is identical for the lower section of the run, with the exception that some Chinook ("King") jack-salmon made a showing there - at the bottom part of the middle section, guest action improved to "moderate" (hooking up, could be better) on Steelhead holding in place - farther up, through the remainder of the middle section and into the upper section, "moderate" action continues, initially with Steelhead, then with some Kings in the mix, with these fish both holding in place as well as a percentage choosing to continue moving up in the run - at the uppermost part of the upper section, guest action transitions to "slow", on Steelhead now holding in place -
