9 AM River Patrol fishing report: CFS at the dam 335, CFS at the Pineville gauge at opening time was 506, air temperature at opening time was 47 degrees, water temperature is 51 degrees, mostly cloudy with indistinct patches of blue, periodic weak sunshine, relatively light breezes, no current precipitation - the estuary section and just upriver reported Steelhead and Chinook ("King") salmon moving through, providing "slow" action (hookups few and far between) for our guests - the lower section reported predominately Steelhead, with some Kings, moving through this section and providing "moderate" action (hooking up, but could be better) for our guests - the middle section reported a mix of both Steelhead and Kings, moving up through the section as well as a percentage holding in pools, providing "moderate" action for our guests - the upper section starts off with a mix of Kings and Steelhead, transitioning to all Steelhead at the top of this section, with these fish both moving up as well as holding in pools, providing "moderate" action at the lower part of this section, and "slow" action at the top part of this section, for our guests
