9 AM River Patrol fishing report: CFS 350 at the dam, 436 at the Pineville gauge, opening air temperature 67 degrees, water temperature 63 degrees, currently overcast, dead calm, 67% chance of rain today (good!) - estuary section reported Chinook ("King") and Coho salmon present, as well as Brown Trout and Steelhead, but there is minimal movement of fish upriver (mostly holding), providing only "slow" action for guests (hooking up, but few and far between) - just upriver, Kings are the predominate fish present, holding in pools, and exhibiting spawning behavior - guest action in this area was described as "moderate" hooking up, but could be better) - Kings and Coho show up in the lower section, fading to Kings only at the top of this section, with fish both actively moving upriver, as well as exhibiting spawning behavior, providing guests with "moderate" action - as we transition into the middle section, reports are that the lower part of this section is "loaded" with fish, both moving upriver, as well as holding, with some fish exhibiting spawning behavior - depending where you are in this section, guest action was described as "slow" to "moderate", with a mix of Kings, Coho and Steelhead - the upper section reported "moderate" guest action on a mix of Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead moving through this section - shaping up to be another great day on the run!
