We are in the thick of summer and heat and humidity rule the days. Consistent with previous reports, the water temperature continues to hover in the low to mid 70s, resulting in sluggish fish and anglers alike. The reports from the last few days indicate there are smallmouth bass to be found but you need to work for them, covering ground in the early morning hours.
