Things have cooled down just a bit, with some rain, and a few thunderstorms over the course of the week. One angler joined us for a few outings this week, indicating a strong start to the week with a handful of bass ranging in size, but as the week progressed, the activity slowed a bit. The release from the dam is currently at 350 CFS with a reported flow of 430 CFS at the Pineville gauge this afternoon. Water temperatures have remained in the upper 60's for most of the week, with some days reaching into the low to mid 70's. Forecasts for this weekend call some cooler overnights, but temperatures will reach around 80 F, with plenty of sun.
