Heavy rains hit the DSR this morning and continued through the afternoon. It was one of those days we wish we had a rain gauge because it really came down! Water flows are on the rise but are still at a manageable 512cfs at the Pineville gauge. We are told areas to our south, in Mexico, NY, got several inches this morning. Even with all that water, we still had a couple anglers that couldn't sit home and had to try their hand after the weekend white water release. Between the two of them they landed a handful of nice smallmouth, but rain ended up driving them off the water late morning. It will be interesting to see what the next few days will bring with water flows and smallmouth bass activity!
