CFS 770 at the dam, CFS at the Pineville gauge started at 913 and bumped up slightly to 921 as of this report - air temperatures started in the mid 20s this morning, and rose to only just below freezing as of this report - skies were overcast, with rare peeks of diffused sunshine - winds were variable, mostly light , with a brief period of strong winds- we had a total of 10 guests join us on the run today, all but one arriving in the afternoon - 1:30 PM the first guest came off the run (he was the first to arrive early AM) and reported two Brown Trout, one a 5#, swinging a black streamer in the middle section - our second guest came off at 3:23 PM, but did not touch any fish - he had fished for just a few hours - the story was echoed by our third guest who came off the run at 4 PM - he drifted all colors of beads and eggs, under a bobber, in the upper section, to no avail . . . this guest did state that there was not any slush in the water - our remaining guests came off the water en mass at 4:30 PM, with comments such as "We did good.", "Lot's of fish, (but most did not make it to shore)." and one stating he went 2 / 12 Steelhead. Tonight's forecast: Snow this evening will taper off and give way to cloudy skies late. Low 22F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Tomorrow's forecast: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 39F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
