While it is usually the case that after a period of high water, once it drops, it takes a day or so for the fish to re-settle and become active. That was not the case today. Many anglers that I spoke with today, while admitting that the water was still a bit high (1200 cfs or so), the fishing was excellent. Double-digit hookups was not the exception and while there had been some concern that the high water might have "washed" our fish out, that was simply not the case. More than one angler made mention of the fact that "There are a lot of fish down there."
