CFS at the dam 750, CFS at the Pineville gauge 898 - air temperature at opening time was 28 degrees, and rose to only 34 degrees over the course of the day - we started mostly cloudy, cleared for a bit, then went back to a complete overcast - light winds made for almost a pleasant day - the run was well populated by guests, angling from top to bottom - the general consensus of reports was that this morning the fish activity level was best, with a gradual tapering off into the afternoon - primarily Steelhead, with two Brown Trout making an appearance - middle section fished slightly better overall, with the lower close behind - about three quarters of our guests were able to tag "a few" - mostly 1s and 2s, with higher numbers from 3s to 5s, a 7, and even one in the low double-digits, so fishing today was "not bad" - one guest stated that the fish seemed to come in little waves, setting up a flurry of short-lived action - so far we have not received any of the forecasted snow showers . . . however, overnight and into the early morning this is the forecast: Cloudy skies with late-night snow showers. Low 26F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. - the forecast for tomorrow is: Periods of snow along with gusty winds at times, especially during the morning. High 29F. Winds WNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 5 to 8 inches. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph. We are in a lake effect snow warning from about 4 AM Sunday through 4 AM Monday, which, if the winds are just right, and the lake effect forms over us, may make travel very difficult since there will be high winds blowing the snow around - be careful, and stay tuned here, and on our Face Book page, for whether or not we will close tomorrow - if we do, we will credit any passes purchased, to your account, per a posting we made earlier this morning
