consolidated 9 AM and 4 PM River Patrol fishing report: CFS at the dam remained at 335, CFS at the Pineville gauge 566 as of this report - water temperature at 6:30 AM was 39 degrees - this morning we were greeted with about an inch of wet snow, air temperatures in the low 30s, overcast skies, and no wind - over the course of the day we climbed to the current 38 degrees, with occasional spitting snow during the morning, then a light drizzle that petered out quickly in the late afternoon - winds were light - the morning report was that angler action was generally a little slower than yesterday, with action described as a "steady pick" - as guests trickled off the run, this sentiment was echoed, however there are always those few who felt today was better in that their Steelhead action was simply better - one guest did mention picking up a Brown Trout - our afternoon River Patrol related that this afternoon the entire run was a "steady pick", with all guests that he interacted with getting into fish - the forecast for tonight is: Cloudy with snow showers this evening and steady snow likely after midnight. Low 31F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches. The forecast for tomorrow is: Snow during the morning will give way to lingering snow showers during the afternoon. High 37F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected. Heavier amounts in favored snowbelt locales (unfortunately, that is typically us . . . ).
