November 5, 2022

consolidated River Patrol 9 AM and 4 PM fishing report: CFS 335 at the dam, 430 at the Pineville gauge - water temperature 52 degrees this morning - the day started out with an air temperature of 60 degrees, gradually rising to a peak of 76 degrees, now slowly cooling off as of this report - a partly cloudy and sunny morning changed to an overcast afternoon and early evening - winds have been relatively light and variable - early reports were that there was a brief flurry of fish activity, in the middle section only, with Steelhead, which rapidly slowed down when the sun was over the trees - about normal - as the late morning and early afternoon progressed I had individual guests, and guides and their clients, state that they "did fairly well" with reports of 1 / 6, 4 / 6, and certain holes being "loaded with fish (Steelhead) with Kings mixed in" - again, the middle section was most active - towards the early evening the reports shifted to "a steady pick" on Steelhead in the upper section, with the mention of a solitary Brown Trout in that section, and lesser action continuing in the middle section - there was very little mentioned about the lower section today - tonight's low will be 63 degrees, with a 70% chance of rain showers (yes!) - the forecast for tomorrow is: A steady rain in the morning. Showers continuing in the afternoon. High 66F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch. (yes!!)
