9 AM and 4 PM River Patrol fishing reports: CFS at the dam 335, CFS at the Pineville gauge 425, water temperature 48 degrees, air temperature started low 40s, currently 67 degrees, mostly clear skies with abundant sunshine, light winds, another perfect Fall day -today's morning report echoes that of yesterday morning's report: the lower section was reported to be relatively inactive - the middle section reported "sporadic to good" action, with said action incrementally getting better as you traveled to the top of the run, culminating in "not great, but a steady pick" of Steelhead only - during the day, as guests checked off the run, there were comments "the fish are there, you just have to really work for them", with ones to threes reported on Steelhead, a couple of Brown Trout, and one 16" Atlantic Salmon brought to hand by an off-duty guide fishing for fun - the 3:30 PM report was that there were limited numbers of guests in the lower section of the run, and there were only isolated pockets of Steelhead action (mostly ones) within that section - the report from the upper half of the run was only slightly better, with "a couple of Steelhead and one King" - the overnight low will be 43 degrees, the forecast for tomorrow is: Partly to mostly cloudy. High 62F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow, 31 October, the 6.5 month seasonal passes are in effect.
