3 PM River Patrol fishing report: although the AM report was "very slow" all along the entire run, apparently that was not entirely the case at some specific locations as all morning I saw a procession of guests with their salmon, and a guide reported that about mid-morning the fish activity changed from very, very slow to double-digit hookups on fresh Kings - perhaps the pod of salmon in the North channel decided to make a small run into the river - the lower section again reported "very slow" action this afternoon, mostly spawning Kings - just upriver was also "slow" - however, beginning about 1:30 PM or so, fish movement and angler activity gradually picked up in the middle section {"fish in holes more aggressive"}, resulting in reports of hooking up on primarily Kings - upper section also reported an uptick in action, Kings, with an eight pound Steelhead recently brought to hand there - the forecast for tomorrow is: Rain showers early with some sunshine later in the day. High 56F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
