9 AM River Patrol fishing report: CFS at the dam 500, CFS at the Pineville gauge is 597 - water temperature 56 degrees, air temperature 57 degrees, heavy overcast, dead calm - the estuary section is being described as "slow", with a small school of Coho milling around in the North channel, and some Kings trickling through the center channel - just upriver is also being described as "slow, little fish movement", with relatively few anglers in that section, predominately Kings, one Brown Trout hooked but not brought to hand - as we enter the middle section, there is a pick up of fish movement and angler activity, mainly Kings, with two Steelhead brought to hand - near the top of the middle section we see a slowing down of activity, a mix of Kings and fresh Coho, with a pair of Brown Trout and Steelhead to spice up things - the upper section reported good movement of fish, steady angler action, again a mix of Kings and Coho, with a solitary Brown Trout and several Steelhead in the mix - we have full day passes for sale for today, and afternoon-only passes for today will be posted for sale online at 10 AM
