28 guests were on the run today - these guests trickled in starting at opening time, until the late afternoon, with a fair percentage leaving after fishing the morning, and coming back for the evening bite - attached are pictures of the foggy fields and blazing dawn that greeted our earlier guests - CFS at the dam 185, with the CFS at the Pineville gauge dropping from 299 to 286 over the day - water temperatures started at 69 degrees early this morning, and rose to 75 degrees later in the day - our day started out in the mid 60s, and only climbed to the mid 70s - we alternated with some cloud cover to brilliant blue skies, plenty of sunshine, and light breezes - Smallmouth Bass are still providing action, as incidental catches, as are some large Fallfish - although our guests fished from top to bottom of the run, there were only occasional sightings of moving salmon, and those were sporadic and not numerous - there were no hookups . . . we will have an overnight low of a chilly 58 degrees, with tomorrow's forecast as follows: Generally sunny. High near 85F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
