Temperatures began in the low 40's and reached just into the lower 50's, with very little wind and heavy overcast, making pretty optimal conditions.  Anglers trickled onto the run, with most starting their outings mid morning.  Based on the reports we received from anglers today, it sounds like having a 500 CFS has been a great opportunity to cover water, and in order to find fish you certainly had to cover some ground.  Most anglers today reported hooking into at least a fish, with a few anglers fortunate to land a couple.  The fish reported today were a mix of fresh, colored up, and spawned out fish.  It's certainly become clear based on the recent fish activity we have seen, and the steadily increasing number of drop backs showing up, we are in a transitional period.  The dam release is scheduled to remain at 500 CFS until 11:59 PM tonight (3/3).  Please monitor safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for update dam release scheduling.
