615 CFS Pineville Gauge
500 CFS Dam Release

February 7, 2024

CFS at the dam 750, and is projected to remain there until midnight tonight - CFS at the Pineville gauge started at 1010 and bumped up slightly to 1020 by the end of the day - air temperatures started at 26 degrees and climbed to 36 degrees as of this report - we had partly cloudy skies in the morning, then wholly overcast skies for the entire afternoon - winds were light, which made for a very pleasant day on the run. Our guests checked-in from just after opening time until late afternoon - those who fished only a few hours, and left before noon, were not rewarded - all those who put in the time, and walked in search of fish, were rewarded with anywhere from one to five fighting Steelhead, albeit mostly on the smaller side today, with only a few larger ones in the mix - two lucky guests also brought to hand three Brown Trout between them, one a nice 20" - remarkably, our last guest exiting the run reported that he battled a big Chinook Salmon in prime condition! Flies, egg sacks, and beads all produced today. Tonight's forecast: "Some clouds. Low near 30F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph." Tomorrow's forecast: "A mix of clouds and sun in the morning followed by cloudy skies during the afternoon. High 49F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.". Sounds like a perfect day to come on down!
