Given the conditions, it was surprising that we only had a single angler fish the run today. Temperatures in the mid-20's, little wind to speak of, and for the better part of the day, no slush. It must be that many are still in the post-Christmas recovery mode. The one angler that fished for a couple hours this afternoon got into two Steelhead, but failed to bring them to hand (primarily owing to the fact that he forgot to bring his net).

The lake effect snow is staying north of us and we have little snow on the ground. Looks like we have a good stretch of warmer weather coming for the next week or so which ought to make for some ideal fishing conditions.

Safewaters has not updated its website and still lists the flow from the dam at 770 cfs through midnight tonight and the current flow at Pineville is 929 cfs
